Using Emotion Logs To Make Decisions
Does your body say😀 or 😒?
Think about the next thing you have to do today.
Now, drop into your body.
How do you feel about it?
Chances are, you’ll have some kind of emotion towards it. It might be a feeling of excitement, a feeling of frustration (ugh), or somewhere in between — you just don’t have any feeling either way.
When I spent some time in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria last year, I met a coach — Sam Chillcott, who introduced me to the topic of ‘emotion logging’. This means you track your physical emotional responses to certain situations.
Emotion logs can improve your life
By tracking your emotions, you’re coming to understand more about what makes you tick.
Just like a plant, you’re individual, and unique. What makes you grow and thrive is going to be completely different for someone else.
Emotion logging can help you understand where you are right now and what you need.
