My heart aches

When it breaks

Because it can’t carry you.

It must leave you here

Whilst you go your way, and I go mine

We stand in an abyss.

If I go further into myself I will lose you

If I become more courageous you’ll fail to see me

Understand me

Accept me

I hold on until my hands are aching

I don’t want to lose your grip

Come with me, into the world of courage

Follow your dreams

Make yourself happy.

I can’t leave you here

My soul cries

It pains me too much.

Then I realise

It is not my choice

Where you stand

You choose where you stand.

And so I

Walk away.
