It’s all about over-delivering. If you go above and beyond what the client expects, you’re not only pleasing them but you’re also leaning into your own edge- doing the very best job you can possibly do. It’s so easy for freelancers (and I have been guilty of this) to send a piece of work that was 85%, 90% of what you can offer. The client is more than happy with this, but if you truly give 100% and the added extra value, you’ll not only gain more clients long term but there is a greater sense of pride in what you’re doing.
